The Cornerstone School recognizes that an independent education is a financial commitment made by our families.
While tuition is the primary source of school funding, the cost of each child’s education exceeds that which tuition covers. The Cornerstone School offers several options to accommodate families with tuition payments including payment plans, Financial Aid Programs, and need-based Tuition Assistance.
The Cornerstone School offers various payment options for our families, including monthly payments and pay-in-full. When setting up your payment plan or paying in full, we encourage families to set up an incidental account which will be used for other fees incurred throughout the year (lunches, field trips, athletic activities, after-school programs, extended day, etc.). The incidental account may be set up as an auto-draft or you can elect to pay each invoice as they are received.
*Please note that the Board of Trustees requires that all families electing a payment plan participate in the tuition insurance plan. This plan has an annual fee of 2.5% of the annual tuition. If you select the payment in full option, tuition insurance is optional.
The Cornerstone School accepts scholarships from the Florida School Choice program and there are several options available. These scholarship programs are managed by one of the approved scholarship funding organizations (SFOs), Step Up for Students or AAA Scholarship Foundation
Federal Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) - this is an income-based scholarship for Florida Students
Family Empowerment for Educational Options (FES-EO) - This scholarship provides educational options for K-12 students.
Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) - This scholarship is designed for families of students with disabilities. *Please note that our school accommodates students with disabilities in accordance with the requirements under federal and local law. However, your child may not necessarily receive the types of accommodations or related services that your child may be entitled to receive at a public school as public schools have different obligations under the IDEA. The IDEA does not apply to private schools.
HOPE Scholarship - This scholarship provides for families of students who have been a victim of a qualifying incident at a K-12 school, school-related or sponsored program, or riding/waiting at a school bus stop.
For more information about these scholarships please visit https://www.fldoe.org/schools/school-choice/k-12-scholarship-programs/sfo/. If you have been awarded one of these scholarships, please notify the school as soon as possible.
Need-based tuition assistance is an option for families who are able to make payments but find themselves in need of assistance. This money can be applied to both current families and new families. All families who require tuition assistance must complete the third-party vendor application. Once the application is submitted and all financial documentation is provided, the tuition assistance committee will review the information and inform families of funding. Please understand that assistance is distributed on an as-needed basis and requires submitting information according to the deadlines in place. Please contact the Business Office for additional information.
New Families
All new families must first complete the admissions process for The Cornerstone School to be considered for tuition assistance. After you have completed the admissions process, new families can apply for Grant & Aid during the enrollment period by contacting the school Business Office.
Current Families
Sometimes the unexpected happens, and we don’t want to impact a child’s education. The Cornerstone School encourages current families in need of immediate tuition assistance to complete the Grant & Aid Application. Please contact the school Business Office to apply. You will be asked to create an account in order to complete the application. Once you have created an account, you will be able to use this account for future Grant & Aid requests. For renewal of tuition assistance, current families will be notified when the application is available.
